The next few weeks is a busy time for our family in birthdays...I can't believe my baby is turning two next week. I will be busy making gifts! Here are a few...

Custom Orders

Good morning!
I had a great week creating a few custom orders in my free time. I loved these latest projects...they allowed me to enjoy my favorite part of sewing...the designing part. I love details and mixing different textiles together to achieve a unique piece of art. I was thankful for orders without much direction...thankful for trusting clients! I have been sewing at night from 10-1. I enjoy having that time to myself without feeling like I am taking time away from my kids. This week will be a fun week in Chicago.
Next week, I am going to start working on a few back-to-school things for my oldest. My youngest has a birthday coming up. I am going to make her a rag-doll... I'm excited! Last month, we were at a little, antique store in downtown Zionsville. They had the cutest rag dolls wearing adorable clothing...they each had their own look. Elle had so much fun playing with them. I am going to try to  make her one that looks like her...look for pictures soon! :)

Vacation Time!

Hi! I'm sorry I haven't had time to post pictures of my creations...so I'll catch you up on a few things that I have made the past few months. Right now is a slower time for me and my family...praise God! I love having more time...more time during the day to enjoy the simpleness with a baby, while enjoying my family, friends, and hobbies! Last month my son had a "Camp Luke" birthday party. I was very busy getting ready for this party...I appliqued 22 shirts and stretched myself a little too much(even though I loved every minute of it)..Now, it's vacation time...ahhhh!
I have been sewing with friends lately...couldn't get any better than that!:)

I'm not a huge fan of licensed apparel, however my little girl LOVES Elmo...Here's a great alternative! (The Elmo was recycled from an old T-shirt and now has a much cuter look; just mix it in with some great fabrics...now, mom and child are both happy! :)
